Jeep Van Wormer Solid in Dirt Late Model Dream Prelim Action

JUNE 11, 2023 --- Iron Motorsports ventured to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 8-10 for the 29th edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Things kicked off at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant with a pair of $12,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday night in the opener, Jeep Van Wormer ran seventh in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and twentieth in his 25-lap feature event. In a similar show on Friday evening at Eldora, Jeep finished sixth in his heat race and won his B-Main prior to placing twenty-third in the final rundown of his 25-lapper.

When Saturday rolled around at the "Big E," all eyes on the speedway grounds and on FloRacing were fixated on who would walk away with the whopping $129,000 first place prize money. Jeep advanced up to sixth in his stacked heat race and had high hopes of advancing into the 100-lap crown jewel headliner through his B-Main. Unfortunately, the Pinconning, Michigan native was hit hard by another competitor on the opening lap of his consolation event, which ended his night prematurely with heavy damage to his Longhorn Chassis.
