Jeep Van Wormer Wraps Up 2022 Season in World 100

SEPTEMBER 11, 2022 --- Along with 106 other entrants, Jeep Van Wormer entered the most prestigious Dirt Late Model race of the year from September 8-10, as the 52nd Annual 'World 100' was held at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Things kicked off at the "Big E" with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs - each of which shelled out a $12,000 paycheck. On Thursday night in the opener, Jeep narrowly missed out on his 25-lap feature field by running eighth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. In a similar show on Friday evening, Jeep qualified well and later placed a strong second in his heat race before slipping to a fifteenth place effort in his 25-lapper.

At Eldora Speedway on Saturday, all eyes were fixated on who would walk away with the $55,000 first place prize money and the famous globe trophy. Jeep finished eleventh in his heat race, but later passed multiple cars during his B-Main to wind up ninth in the final rundown. Unfortunately, the Pinconning, Michigan ace was not able to advance into the 100-lap crown jewel headliner that was ultimately won by Jonathan Davenport.
